ANAS Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat hosted an event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the son of a prominent poet and playwright Huseyn Javid, Ertoghrul Javid.

Speaking at the anniversary event, the museum's director, Doctor of Philology Gulbaniz Babakhanli described Ertogrul Javid’s multifaceted activities. It was noted that E. Javid, who lived only 24 years, after graduating with honors from the Faculty of Literature of the Pedagogical Institute entered the Conservatory. As a student of U.Hajibeyov, E. Javid has composed songs, symphonic passages and started writing the opera “Mehseti.” It was noted that Ertoghrul Javid was a talented musician, artist and folklorist. His works in collection, systematization and research of Azerbaijan national music and folklore are an important step towards the protection of our national wealth. Manuscripts collected and analyzed by Ertoghrul Javid in years 1938-1941, while working in music research office at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory under Professor Uzeyir Hajibeyli and People's Artist Professor Bulbul, ANAS Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat has prepared multi-volume “Intangible cultural monuments of Azerbaijan and Ertoghrul Javid” consisting of 10 volumes.

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of E. Javid next three volumes of the collection - “School Ballaman”, “Folk Songs composed by E. Javid”, “Unfinished music works by Ertoghrul Javid” have been prepared for printing.

In conclusion, was shown an exhibition dedicated to the memory of Ertoghrul Javid, and voiced the songs had composed by him.
