A scientific-practical seminar on "Summer Solstice" was held at the Batabat Astrophysics Observatory of the Nakhchivan Divison of ANAS.

The event was opened by the director of the observatory, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Gulu Haziyev, who spoke about this astronomical event, which occurred on June 21. He said that the onset of summer and winter is called the summer and winter solstice. On June 21, summer solstice; in this case summer enters Azerbaijan, while on December 22, winter solstice; winter enters Azerbaijan.

Then the observatory staff - Turkan Mammadova, Ulvi Valiyev and Ruslan Mammadov delivered lectures on the features of the Earth's motion around the Sun, as well as the process of formation of seasons on Earth.

Afterwards, discussions were held and numerous questions were responded.
