Published “The Caspian Problem in the Foreign Policy of Coastal States (End of XX - Beginning of XXI Century)” book

In accordance with the research plan of the Institute of History of ANAS, the book of the PhD in History Mahir Ibrahimov “The Caspian Problem in the Foreign Policy of Coastal States (End of XX - Beginning of XXI Century)” was recently published.

The author of the preface to the book is academician Yagub Mahmudov, scientific editors - Doctor of Historical Sciences Parvin Darabadi and PhD in History Jabi Bahramov.

The monograph is devoted to the study of the Caspian problem, which has turned into one of the most pressing issues in the history of international relations of Azerbaijan, and the processes around it. The main goal of the study is to assess the current state of relations between the Caspian states on this issue, to determine the historical significance of this issue for the Caspian states, to analyze the positions of the coastal states in its solution, as well as to comprehensively study the existing political, economic, scientific and cultural ties.

The concrete facts indicate how important the solution of the Caspian problem is to the security of the region, the essence of negotiations and political maneuvers conducted by national leader Heydar Aliyev in this process is revealed. It is noted that the Caspian diplomacy, the foundation of which was laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev and which is being successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev, is one of the main guarantees of the modern prosperity and well-being of Azerbaijan.

The monograph, published by decision of the Academic Council of the Institute of History, is intended for specialists, scientists, doctoral students, students studying the history of international relations and political sciences, as well as for a wide range of readers.
