Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

October 24, with organizational support of Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat of ANAS and the Executive Power of Baku city Yasamal district was held the event devoted to the 132th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani poet and playwright H.Javid.

The event was attended by Javid studiers, musicologists, number of public and cultural figures. The event participants have laid wreaths on the monument of H. Javid. Opening the event Deputy of Executive Power of Baku City Yasamal District Samad Islamov provided detailed information about the life and work, a rich literary heritage of the playwright. Then, acad. Teymur Karimli spoke about the merits of Huseyn Javid in the development of Azerbaijani drama of the XX century.

In the event director of the museum PhD Gulbeniz Babakhanli made speech on creativity of Huseyn Javid, its rich literary heritage have been studied and promoted not only in our country but also abroad.

G.Babakhanli noted that on the basis of manuscripts collected and analyzed by Ertogrul Javid in years 1938-1941, during his work in music research office at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory under Professor U. Hajibeyli and People's Artist Professor Bulbul has been prepared “Intangible cultural monuments of Azerbaijan and Ertugrul Javid” multi volume consisting of 10 volumes. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary E. Javid next three volumes of the bulk - “School Ballaman”, “Folk songs written by E. Javid”, " Ertogrul Javid’s unfinished songs " prepared for printing as well.

Renowned Javid studier scientist Kamran Aliyev, national poet Nariman Hassanzadeh, head of the Azerbaijani cultural house in Istanbul poet Hikmet Elp, Hamid Jafarov, who took an active part in the delivery of the remains of Hussein Javid from Siberia to the homeland, head of the literary majlis Kamaladdin Gadim noted that the rich and unique creativity of Javid serve a worthy example for the younger generation.

The event continued with a concert. People's Artist Melekhanum Ayyubova, honored artist Nuria Huseynov performed songs written in the words of Hussein Javid.

In conclusion, “Turan Javid: Chronicle of life” was presented.
