With the financial support of the Council for State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Public Association "Economists of Turkic-Speaking States" organized a webinar on the topic: "Compulsory medical insurance is the guarantor of your health."

Opening the event, which was held on the Zoom platform, chairman of the Public Association “Economists of Turkic-Speaking States”, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Rasmiya Abdullayeva spoke about the importance of compulsory health insurance.

At the webinar, director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Imanov delivered a lecture on the topic "The need to switch to compulsory health insurance and its benefits", Deputy Director of the Institute, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Allahyar Muradov - "Compulsory health insurance: world practice" , researchers Samir Mahmudov - "The role of compulsory health insurance in strengthening social protection" and Melek Aliyeva - "Introduction of compulsory health insurance in Azerbaijan". The speakers also responded questions related to the advantages of compulsory health insurance, world practice and the peculiarities of its formation in Azerbaijan.

Then the head of the department of the Institute of Economics, corresponding member of ANAS Akif Musayev, vice-rector of Mingachevir State University, Professor Veysal Eyyubov, vice-rector of the Azerbaijan University of Cooperation, Associate Professor Fikrat Guliyev, Professor of Sumgayit State University Shafa Aliyev, a teacher of Azerbaijan Technical University Gunay Aliyeva and others, who spoke on the benefits of compulsory health insurance.

It should be noted that the project of the Public Association "Economists of Turkic-Speaking States" "Public education on the topic “Compulsory health insurance - the guarantor of your health” became the winner of the competition for grants announced by the Council for State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance ... Within the framework of the project, it is planned to hold 2 webinars within 4 months (through the “Zoom” program) and publish a brochure entitled “Compulsory health insurance”.
