An article by a senior researcher at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Safa Garayev titled as "Psychology, performance and social context of humor in Azerbaijani folklore" was published in the Journal of History Culture and Art Research, which is part of the "Web of Science ".

The article is devoted to the study of the psychology, performance and functions of humor in Azerbaijani folklore in the context of social stereotypes and the definition of its sociocultural semantics.

In preparing the article, psychoanalytic and semiotic methods were applied, which are considered priority theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of folklore, as well as the corresponding approaches of the theory of performance.
