Employees of the Institute of Dendrology of ANAS made a scientific expedition to the Lankaran-Astara region.

The staff of the Laboratory of Herbarium and Seed Production of this scientific institution scientifically studied the current state of the Hyrcanian dendroflora, conducted a comparative analysis of natural and cultivated plants by families, genera and species. The monitoring was also carried out in Lankaran, Astara and Lerik districts using space imagery using DJI Phantom 4 DRON and using CPS to determine the exact coordinates. Collected 450 herbarium specimens of local and foreign flora, including 93 trees, 46 shrubs, 3 bushes, 7 semi-shrubs, 8 lianas.
