Neolithic settlement found in Fizuli region

In the village of Horadiz, Fizuli region, a Neolithic settlement was discovered.

The head of the Karabakh Neolithic-Eneolithic expedition of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Ph.D. in history Khagani Almammedov said that the Neolithic settlement of Lalatapa was discovered during archaeological research in 2019. Archaeological excavations began this summer. Excavations in four areas, each 16 square meters, have revealed the remains of three mud brick buildings in an oval circular structure dating back to the sixth millennium BC and part of a courtyard wall.
