At ANAS Institute of Literature named after Nizami held a video conference by the participation of Director of Stavropol branch of Moscow State Humanitarian University named after M.A.Sholokhov, Dr.Pedagogy, Professor Natalia Sotnikova and Deputy Director of Public Relations of the university Lili Grigorieva and others.Event was opened by vice-president of ANAS, director of institute, academician Isa Habibbayli told about value of conference, about history and prospects of development of communications between Azerbaijan and Russian literature. Isa Habibbayli made a report on “Mikhail Sholokhov and Azerbaijan” in which told about First World War, Russian Revolution, Civil War, and also about participation of Cossacks in the historical processes which reflected in the Sholokhov’s famous epic novel “Quiet Flows the Don”.Then scientist noted that the comparative analysis which is carried out on the basis of works of a Great Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov and works of Azerbaijan writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh arouses a great interest to all-typological point of view. In the report it is also told about merits of Azerbaijan intellectuals Dzhanbashir Javadzadeh who made translation of works of M. Sholokhov into Azerbaijani language. Within the event was also noted that next conference will be devoted to the life and work of Mikhail Lermontov. Then, Doctor of Philology, Prof. Aida Feyzullayeva spoke on “The concept of the family in the work of Sholokhov”. Then acted Director of Stavropol branch of Moscow State Humanitarian University named after M.A.Sholokhov, Doctor of Education, Professor Natalia Sotnikova and deputy director of branch Lily Grigorieva.
