The rich traditions and achievements of Azerbaijan's chemical science are first of all connected with the names of academicians Yusif Mammadaliyev, Murtuza Naghiyev, Ali Guliyev, Vahab Aliyev, Habib Shakhtakhtinsky, Sultan Mehdiyev and others, the founders of scientific schools in this field. These prominent scientists have made an invaluable role in the development of Azerbaijani science and made great contributions to chemistry.
