Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will nominate 8 young scientists to “President's Award for Youth “. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Presidium held on November 20.

Such an award would create an incentive for young people in general, as well as the realization of the potential of young researchers working at ANAS, notified corresponding member of ANAS Rasim Alguliev and noted that, candidates have been elected from 24 individuals submitted to the Expert Committee and proposed for the Presidium. Young scientists’ list who deserves the academy award will be submitted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to December 1, R. Alguliyev said .

Candidates for the Presidential Award are young people distinguished with their scientific results from Mathematics and Mechanics, Physics , Geology , Botany and Literature institutions, as well as, from Azerbaijan Medical University. These are PhDs in math – Togrul Muradov and Rovshen Bendeliyev, PhDs in Medicine - Yusif Hajiyev and Parviz Abbasov , PhD in philology - Elnara Akimova, senior scientific worker of the Institute of Physics PhD student Khuraman Khalilova, leading scientific worker of the Institute of Geology Rafiq Safarov and scientific worker of the Institute of Botany Gulnara Balakishiyeva.

Note that, the award consists of 10 thousand manat, diploma and award medal.
