Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS named after acad. Ziya Bunyadov held commemoration event dedicated to 11th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s decease.

Reporting in the event director of the institute corresponding member of ANAS Govhar Bakhshaliyeva stressed out that, 40 years of Azerbaijan history is closed to name of national leader. Thus, during challenging times of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev returned to the motherland on people's demand , restored public order as soon as possible and laid the foundation for the economic development of our country.

Heydar Aliyev always focused on all the activity areas of the country, including, science. After returning to power in 1993, in one of the meetings with scientists stated that, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is the wealth of Azerbaijan people and it should be preserved. This policy founded by the great leader is successfully pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, said G. Bakhshaliyeva.
