Nakhchivan Division of ANAS has hosted for a conference on the topic "State independence of Azerbaijan - the national heritage of the Azerbaijani people."

Opening the event dedicated to October 18 - the Day of State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the chairman of the division, academician Ismayil Hajiyev, spoke about the targeted measures taken to restore the independent Azerbaijani state, preserve the traditions of national statehood, and carry out political and economic reforms.

The lectures - “National leader Heydar Aliyev - the founder of the independent Azerbaijan state”, “Socio-political situation in Azerbaijan on the eve of independence”, “Restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence” and “The fruits of independence in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” were listened at the event. It was noted in the speeches that the measures taken over the years of independence in our country are closely related to the thoughtful and purposeful activities of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, who continues his political course.

Within the framework of the conference, a virtual exhibition of the Central Scientific Library of the department, dedicated to "October 18 - the Day of State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was demonstrated.
