Next assembly on “Investigation of genocides against Azerbaijanis”

At the main building of ANAS was held regular assembly “Investigation of genocides against Azerbaijanis”. Opening the event, the vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli informed about the challenges faced by the Commission. Speaking about the historical importance of the actions realized by the Commission for Research of Genocide against Azerbaijanis, acad. Isa Habibbayli emphasized need for expansion of research works for this area. Academician having put in the forefront the importance of identification and the edition of historical documents as book noted that in academy realization of a number of the international actions for this question is planned. The scientist in detail told about the problems of the International Conference on “Genocide against the Turkic-Muslim population in Azerbaijan and Eastern Anatolia”, which will be held by organization of the Institute of History of ANAS in Baku and Guba. The conference along with Azerbaijani scientists will also attend by the historians and archaeologists from the advanced countries of the world. During the committee meeting were discussed the way of implementation of the provisions which reflected in the Action Plan of ANAS approved by Administration of AR. President. Discussion was attended by Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of ANAS, academician Teymur Kerimli, director of Institute of History, correspondent member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov, director of Institute of Oriental Studies, corresponding member of ANAS Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, director of Institute of Folklore, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov , director of Institute for Human Rights, PhD in law Ayten Mustafayeva and others.
