ANAS Central Scientific Library hosted for “Manifestation of mediaeval ages in modern era” international scientific conference dedicated to Honored scientist, corresponding member of ANAS Azada Rustamova’s scientific-social activity.
In advance, documentary reflecting life way and performance of scientist was demonstrated.
Opening the meeting vice-president acad. Isa Habibbayli spoke about A. Rustamova’s merits in Azerbaijan literature criticism. While working in the posts of senior researcher and chief department at the Institute of Literature, the scientist had written precious works on the historical-theoretic problems of medieval Azerbaijan literature, he noted.
Speaking about her specific features acad. Isa Habibbayli stated that, being one of the literalist scientists of Azerbaijan, Azade khanum could use cognitive methods in place effectively with strong analytical thinking, and coordinate analysis of literary-historical materials with scientific-theoretic challenges.
Scientist’s research object was investigation and analysis of medieval literature. A. Rustamova analyzed characters in classical poem, paid special attention to the partially studied or unexplored aspects of literature, explored poetry methods, genre, style, features, predecessor, successor, heir, the problems of heritage, and folklore traditions.
“Development ways of Azerbaijan epic poem (XII-XVII ages)” monograph is the scientist’s first fundamental research work and embraces 600 year period of classical literature. “Ghazal in Azerbaijan poetry. History and poetics of genre” book is the first research work of literary criticism in this direction as well.
Academicians Vasim Mammadaliyev, Rafael Huseynov, Teymur Karimli, corresponding members of ANAS Nizami Jafarov, Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Dr. Philology Farida Azizova and others made speech on A. Rustamova’s researches in various scientific branches, her care for young scientists, as well as highly appreciated scientist’s merits in learning heritages of Azerbaijan literature classics – Falaki Shirvani, Nasimi, Fuzuli, especially Nizami Ganjavi.
