Nakhchivan Division hosted a conference on the topic "Organization of archival work and work with documents"

Nakhchivan Division of ANAS hosted a conference on the topic "Organization of archival work and work with documents" with the participation of 3rd year students of the specialty "Museum business, archival work and protection of monuments" of the Nakhchivan State University.

Opening the event, the chairman of the division, academician Ismail Hajiyev, recalled the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Mejlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov dated March 14 "On approval of the State Program for the Development of Archives in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2020-2025." According to him, in accordance with the action plan, tasks have been set for the Nakhchivan Division.

It was noted that the archival materials that reveal the realities of centuries, our past history, relations between states, the activities of prominent personalities are very valuable. The importance of the archives that store our national and spiritual treasures is very important. It was noted that throughout the history of Azerbaijan, the lands have always been in the center of attention of a number of countries. During the wars, documents related to our history were burned and destroyed, and some were taken to different countries. The archives of different countries of the world also contain very valuable materials about our history and historical figures.

After the restoration of our independence, more serious work has been done in this direction. Consistent measures were taken to protect and preserve archival materials. Important historical decrees and orders have been issued regarding our material and spiritual resources. Based on the study of archival materials, hundreds of books, monographs and articles have been written and published.

Then lectures - “On the rules of working with archival documents”, “Documents on the history of Nakhchivan in the archives of Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia” were listened.
