Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, a scientific online seminar of the 9th department on topic "Determination of Internet addiction based on children's log files" was held.

The employee of the department Sabira Ojagverdiyeva, who presented the report, noted that the rapid development of the Internet and the growing popularity of its services led to an increase in the number of Internet users, the formation of large amounts of information in information spaces, and the emergence of new forms of human relationships. She noted that children and adolescents, who are part of Internet users, often update their profiles and statuses on social networks, make searches, play online games, prepare lessons, participate in forums and chats, and share information. Some of them use the Internet more and spend most of their day online, which over time makes them addicted to the Internet.

According to the speaker, there is a need to develop effective solutions, methods and mechanisms to ensure information security of children and adolescents. For this, the log files of children and adolescents are analyzed, their activity in the Internet environment is analyzed and the degree of dependence on the network is determined.

She noted that log files are log files collected from a web server. They are considered to be the primary source of information on website traffic and user behavior. Analyzing log files is an effective way to detect threats by viewing events recorded by operating systems and devices.
