Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A book by the employee of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy Aydin Alizadeh entitled as "Gasification of Azerbaijan and the operation of the gas industry -1955-1970" has been published.

The scientific editor of the monograph is Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Rafail Hasanov, reviewers are Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Rahid Rahmanov, Ph.D. in History, Associate Professor Ilgar Niftaliyev and General Director of the Azerigaz Production Association Ruslan Aliyev.

The book emphasizes that in the second half of the twentieth century, large-scale works were carried out to gasify the cities, towns and villages of Azerbaijan, and a gas infrastructure, economy and industry were created. At that time the republic became one of the most gasified regions, provided with natural and liquefied gas. As a result, the living conditions of people have improved, social life has changed for the better, as well as living conditions and people's outlook, have found their solution to the problem of energy supply, as well as most environmental problems. It was during this period that the foundations of the gas infrastructure and management of the period of independence were laid.
