The Negative Fund of the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan, ANAS, contains a negative photograph of 1934, which depicts the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha.

Yukhari Govkhar Agha Mosque or Shusha Juma Mosque is the oldest mosque built on the central square of Shusha.

In 1883, the fourth and last Juma mosque in Shusha was built by the architect Karbalay Safikhan Karabakhi with the financial means of Govhar Agha. The mosque is registered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a historical and cultural monument of national importance.

As a result of the occupation of Shusha by the Armenian armed forces, the Armenians demolished a memorial plaque at the Yukhari Govhar Agha mosque in Azerbaijani, and installed a memorial plaque in Armenian with the inscription "Historical and cultural monument, Yukhari mosque, 1883, protected by the state." Under the pretext of carrying out repair work, the Armenians changed the interior of the Yukhari Govhar Agha mosque, and then declared that the monument does not belong to the Azerbaijani people.
