Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The paper co-authored by the director of the Institute of Biophysics, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov and young scientist of the enterprise, dissertator Aytaj Mammadova, has published in the prestigious journal "Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports" of "Elsevier" publishing house.

For the first time, the paper dubbed “ANS Fluorescence: Potential to Discriminate Hydrophobic Sites of Proteins in Solid States” indicates the possibility of characterizing hydrophobic clusters of proteins in solid state by using  fluorescence properties of the molecule ANS (1-anilino-8-naphthalenesulfonate).
