Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

For the first time Institute of Zoology of ANAS held “The most active young scientist of the year” competition among the youth operating here. Winners of the competition were elected of young employees who had several editions published within 2014, and participated in the domestic and foreign conferences, workshops as well.

Attendees have competed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Thus, senior researcher of Herpetology lab PhD in Biology Sabina Bunyatova was deserved to the 1st place with 2 books, 2 papers and a thesis, PhD student of Protistology lab Turkan Gurbanova who attended the international conference in Germany deserved to the 2nd place with 3 papers and 3 theses, and to the 3rd place - researcher of Herpetology lab Gulbeniz Gasimova with 2 papers published in abroad and a thesis.

Note that, this competition is intended to hold in the country every year.
