ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems hosted for annual report of ANAS Department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences.

Opening the meeting vice-president of ANAS academician-secretary acad. Akif Hajiyev provided information about the issues on the agenda. Meeting was dedicated to annual reports of 6 institutes attached to the department, he noted.

In advance, director of the Institute of Physics corresponding member of ANAS Dr. physics-math Nazim Mammadov submitted the report. During a report year, 40 research works in the 3 directions over 8 topics have been carried out by the institute employees. 184 of 393 research work were published in abroad, 152 papers on the journals with impact factor, 128 papers and 5 monographs in periodical press, he noted.

Director of the Institute of Control Systems acad. Telman Aliyev stated that, research works of the institute have been carried out over 2 challenges – theoretic-applied problems of information-communications technologies and mathematical modeling, theoretic-applied problems of management and automation. 343 research works contained from 12 monograph, 3 books, 3 manuals and 19 papers were published during a report year.

Academician-secretary of ANAS director of ANAS Institute of Information Technology acad. Rasim Alguliyev drew attention to the achievements of the institute within 2014. He told about carried out researches in the direction of exploring theoretic-applied basis of ICT and e-society and offering effective methods. During a year, fulfillments have been held in the sphere of Data Mining and Big data technologies, information security, cloud technologies, Azerbaijan and virtual scope, e-state building, e-medicine and e-science challenges, biometric technologies and other priorities. Also he noted about State Programs, projects funded by Science Development Fund under AR President, expertise activity for prestigious journals of the world etc. Academician focused on Training-Innovation Center, AzScienceNet computer network, www.ict.az web-site including, Electron Library Center equipped via the latest technologies as well.

Institute has set up cooperation ties with 261 organizations from 39 countries. 127 lectures have been delivered, 99 papers including 3 books and 7 express-data published by the institute employees during 2014, he noted.

Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics prof. Misir Mardanov said that, 125 research works covering 8 problems over 16 topics were carried out in the institute. 403 research works including, 110 in abroad, 57 on the journals with impact factor were published by the institute employees. During a report year institute has published 4 monograph and 5 manuals.

Director of the Institute of Radiation corresponding member of ANAS Adil Garibov stated that 29 research works over 5 problems and 13 topics have been carried out within 2014.

Presenting report of ANAS Shamakha Astrophysical Observatory director corresponding member Ayyub Guliyev noted that, 23 research works over 2 problems and 8 topics were carried out. In general, 49 papers were published (13 in abroad).

Heads of institutions made speech on vital scientific outcomes obtained in a current year, republic wide and international leveled events, winner grant projects of competitions organized by AR State Oil Company Scientific Fund and Science Development Fund under AR President as well.

Reports of the department institutions have been approved after discussions.
