“Turks” multivolume, prepared by New Turkey Research and Broadcasting Centre, was presented at Nakhchivan Department of ANAS.

Academic Ismail Hajiyev, Chairman of the department, opened the event and spoke about the importance of the book as a valuable resource in the history of the Turkic people. New edition reflects ancient Turkic peoples’ history, culture, traditions and art.

Emin Shikhaliyev, head of Nakhchivan Department of History, Ethnography and Archaeology, noted that the book gives broad information about states and empires established by turks, history of current Turkic republics and etc. It also lightens interesting facts about the history of Azerbaijan and even Nakhchivan.

Abulfaz Guliev, director of Art, Language and Literature Institute, corresponding member of ANAS and Gadir Gadirzade, deputy director of History Archaeology and Ethnography Institute, corresponding member of ANAS shared thoughts about the book.

It was noted that, book contains information about Nakhchivan ice-house, mosques, baths, as well as Nakhchivan pin, the visit of the Ottomans to Nakhchivan, the Nakhchivan Khanate, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Nakhchivan State University in I, III, IV, V , VI, VII volumes.
