17th Congress Turkic Historical Society

The 17th Congress of the Turkic Historical Society was held. Ankara (Turkey) hosted the 17th Congress of Turkic Historical Society. Congress which was founded in 1932 by the prominent statesman Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, attended by over the 1000 historians, archaeologists and linguists. Along with Azerbaijan scientists congress was attended by scientists and historians from Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Macedonia, Romania, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Russia. Our country was represented by the 28 employees of ANAS, Baku Slavic University and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. Then film “Founder of the Organization of Turkic history-Mustafa Kemal Ataturk” was demonstrated. Speaking at the sectional meeting director of ANAS Institute of World Politics, prof. Musa Gasimli, director of ANAS Institute of History, Professor Tofig Mustafazadeh, leading researcher of Department of Arabic manuscripts of ANAS Institute of Manuscripts, PhD in theology Sabina Nematzadeh, chief researcher of the Institute of Manuscripts, Dr. History Tahira Hasanzadeh etc. reported on diplomatic relations which existed between Ottoman Empire and Gajars (XIX century). Chairman of the sectional meeting T.Hasanzadeh was awarded by certificate for his report. At the sectional meeting titled as “Central Asia and the Caucasus History” Sabina Nematzadeh made a report on “Script works in Turkic-Islamic Art and rare Baku manuscripts with gracefully design” and demonstrated the slide dedicated to ancient manuscripts. Reporter was awarded by certificate. Mehmet Ali Beihan and deputy prime minister, prof. doctor Numan Kurtulmush who attended the closing ceremony of congress expressed their gratitude to the participants of meeting.

Note that, within three-day event, generally 247 lectures have been delivered in 24 sections.
