As it is known, at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS held on December 11, 2020, on the basis of the information provided by the Institute of Petrochemical Processes and the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Academy, 200 mln. tons of oil and 250 bln. cubic meters of gas reserves were announced. This information was then posted on the official website of ANAS and published by a number of media. After the issue became public, the department was required to provide a detailed scientific and statistical reference in order to provide more accurate information to the public. At that time, it turned out that the information provided by the unit to the Presidium on energy resources in Karabakh was distorted. By the order of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, it was instructed to take appropriate measures against the employees who committed such irresponsibility.
