ANAS Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat marked a memorable event “Chronicle of freedom"dedicated to the 25th anniversary of January the 20 tragedy. Firstly, martyrs of January 20 commemorated with a minute of silence. During the event, the museum's director, Doctor of Philology Gulbaniz Babakhanli gave detailed information about the crimes against the achievements of the Azerbaijani people by the Soviet army in the night from 19 to 20 January 1990. Attendees of the event were given information about the events of January 20 tragedy, which is the result of enemy management policy of the Soviet empire, against Azerbaijan. Noted that, in these tragic days among the dead was a huge number of children, women and the elderly. G.Babahanli highlighted the historical merits of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in giving of a political and legal assessment to events of Bloody January, and also in identification of responsible for this tragedy and in perpetuation of memory of the victims of events. It was also noted that, this political line successfully proceeds today by President of the country Ilham Aliyev. Staff of the museum noted that events of the January tragedy were included into the chronicle of heroic fight of our people for freedom and independence. Noted that valor and courage of the courageous sons of the Homeland who fallen the victims of this tragedy will be eternally stored in memory of the Azerbaijani people. In summary the short film “Bloody January” was shown.
