Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Anar Rustamov, Executive Director of the Institute of Physics of ANAS, Head of the Department of the National Center for Nuclear Research, Doctor of Physical Sciences, will chair the international conference to be held on March 15-19, 2021 in the National Laboratory named after Lawrence Berkeley.

Note that this year's pandemic conference will be held online. The conference is co-organized by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the German Center for Heavy Ion Research, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory of the United States and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Federation.

CPOD (Critical Point and Onset of Deconfinement) is a series of conferences held in Germany, the United States, Russia, Poland, China and Greece. The main purpose of the conference is to discuss the properties of the hadron environment in various high-energy nuclear collisions, the theoretical and practical work done in this area. The event will discuss the latest results obtained in recent years in the practice of ALICE, HADES, NA61 / SHINE and STAR and perform a comparative analysis of them with theoretical work. Also shown are the FAIR and NICA complexes planned in the near future and their plans.
