At the laboratory building of ANAS Institute of Botany was held the first meeting of a new structure of Scientific Council on biological problems. The event was opened by Deputy Chairman of Scientific Council, academician Irada Huseynova who gave detailed information on coordination of scientific and organizational activity both on Coordination council and on the Academic council on biological sciences, about performing works on the organization of development and providing science in the republic. I.Guseynova noted that the Coordinating Council and the Problem Council, functioned in various fields of science, should play a leading role and mobilize the scientific potential in performing the tasks associated with the further development of Azerbaijani science. I. Guseynova noted, that first of all the priority directions and subjects of basic and applied scientific researches should be determined, provided the researches on these directions, plans of research works of research establishments and higher educational institutions are prepared and the special attention to priority problems and subjects in plans of research works should be given. Also in research institutions and higher educational institutions of republic the scientific researches has to be coordinated, organized of complex researches and also strengthened the activity of various research establishments and higher educational institutions together with scientific structures of ANAS in preparation and realization of state programs on the fundamental and applied scientific applied Scientific Research. I. Guseynova gave information on new structure of the Academic Council on biological problems which chairman is academician Jalal Aliyev, and also about sections of Physical and chemical biology, Botany, Physiology, Zoology and the Biodiversity, their heads and members. Told about new structure of the Academic council on biological problems which include 25th people, the scientist noted that in this institution the leading experts working in research institutions and higher educational institutions of republic are represented. It was reported that each section has already held its meeting, the extensive discussion of the research work within the Academic Council of doctoral students and candidates with the participation of their scientific advisers was held. At the general meeting of the Academic Council on biological problems these questions were newly considered, made changes and amendments to some subjects and names of certain scientific works. The discussions were attended by Deputy Chairman of Scientific Council on biological problems corresponding member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Scientific Secretary of Council, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov, corresponding members of ANAS Maksud Gurbanov, Valida Alizadeh, Ilham Alekperov, Professor Sayara Ibadullaeva, Khudaverdi Gambarov Saftar Suleymanov, Adalat Faradzhev,doctor of Biology Ulduz Hashimova, Yashar Feyziyev, Mehman Akhundov, PhD in biology Alemdar Mammadov and others.
