Presidium of ANAS held assembly of Department of Humanitarian and Social Sciences (DHSS)of ANAS dedicated to PhD training for 2015.

Opening the assembly president of ANAS acad. Akif Alizadeh provided information about issues on the agenda.

Note that, by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated November 20, 2013, 79 places (52 intramural, 27 extramural) have been allocated for institute and organizations of the above mentioned department.

Urgency of theses of the PhD students should be appropriated pursuant to real demands and goals of country’s prospective development, stated acad. A. Alizadeh.

He put forward the suggestion of to study Azerbaijan ontogenesis in early ages, development and tolerance challenges of the modern ethnic groups. Directories of the Institutes of History, Oriental Study, Archaeology and Ethnography were charged to elect topics accurately.

Later on, view of exchange was held on the theses, suggestions were put forward.

Submitted theses have been endorsed by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS after discussing. Moreover, PhD admission to the Institutes of Philosophy and Law, Human Rights has been delayed.

Taking into account of requests from institutes, DHSS has solicited for the Presidium in order to allocate additional 3 places for Institute of Philosophy and Law, and a place for Institutes of Manuscripts and Folklore.
