Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The book “Prophylactic Surgery”, published by "Springer International Publishing", one of the most influential scientific publishing houses in the world, contains two chapters “Prophylactic Splenectomy” and “Prophylactic Surgery for Benign Diseases of Stomach and Duodenum” authored by the staff of the Department of Surgical Diseases I of the Azerbaijan Medical University.

For the first time in the field of surgery, Azerbaijani scientists are the authors of chapters in a book published by the prestigious “Springer” Publishing House. It is also one of the first books published in the world on preventive surgery.
