Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Academician-secretary of ANAS Humanitarian and Social Sciences, director of the Institute of Manuscripts acad. Teymur Karimli and group scientists of the institute visited Turkey joint with associates of Caucasian Muslims Office and Zagatala Local Lore Museum.

During a visit delegation visited Turkey Writing Works Association, Suleymaniye Library and Ottoman Archives, got acquainted with done fulfillments.

Kitab shefakhanasi which was established attached to Turkey Writing Works Association engages in cleaning of works, bind restoring etc.

According to deputy chief of Ottoman Archives, prof. Mustafa Budak more than 96 million archive materials are restored here. Digitalizing of these materials is going on. Photos of the documents exceed 10 million so far. Restoration work continues through the most modern equipment here.

Chief of Konya Regional Writing Works Library Bekir Shahin informed on the library and undertaken works. Azerbaijan delegation held exchange of view covering purity, restoration of paper, diseases occurring in papers including, binding.
