Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Akif Alizadeh met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Islamic Republic, director of the International Centre for Research and Education, Iranian Foreign Minister Hadi Suleymanpur.

Then academician Akif Alizadeh told about history of Academy and about anniversary events which will be held in November of this year, devoted to the 70th anniversary of ANAS, and also about reforms which are carried out at Academy.

Told about the integration of science and education at ANAS and projects implemented in this field, academician highly appreciated Iran's innovations in science.

H.Suleymanpur told about the researchers conducted in Iran Islamic Republic in the field of science and education, in particular in medicine, nanotechnologies, biotechnologies and other similar spheres, and about their results. The guest invited academician Akif Alizadeh to visit Iran Islamic Republic to expand scientific cooperation.

Within a meeting possibilities of exchange of experience between students and doctoral candidates, carrying out joint biological and geological researches in the Caspian Sea and joint studying of mud volcanoes were discussed.
