Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

70 years of victory of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 will be celebrated on May 9 this year. On this occasion Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is going to hold conference titled as “Scientists’ role in Victory of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945”. In addition, ANAS intends to participate at “We were together against Nazism” international exhibition project in Moscow dedicated to 70 years of victory of the Great Patriotic War.

Presidium has made decision with the purpose providing hold of relevant events devoted to 70 years of victory of Great Patriotic War. In accordance decision, “Scientists’ role in Victory of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” conference to be held on May 5 joint with Republican Veterans’ Council. Relevant commission has been set up to organize the event.

Pursuant to Action Plan, revised version of “They served for motherland and science ...” book by George Zaplatin which portrays the contributions of Azerbaijan scientists to the victory of the Great Patriotic War will be released.
