ANAS Institute of Philosophy and Law held commemorative event devoted 23th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy.

In advance, members of Young Scientists and Specialists Council, Trade Union and “Heydar Aliyev school” pilgrimaged “Mother cry” monument erected for memory of Khojaly martyrs, put a wreath in front of the monument.

Opening the event director of the institute, Dr. Philosophy Ilham Mammadzadeh stressed the necessity delivering the tragedy committed against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly to the world. In this regard, books and papers in English and Russian should be published and speeches based on scientific facts on Karabakh conflict should be delivered in the international conferences, he noted. Director also brought to mind activity directions of “Justice for Khojaly” promo-campaign at initative of Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of Heydar Aliyev Fund.

Researcher of Modern philosophical problems department of the institute, PhD in philosophy Huseyn Ibrahimov dealth with political state in 1990-1992 and emergence reasons of tragedy.

Chief of State and Law theory, civil law and civil procedure department Dr. Law, prof. Habil Gurbanov said that, Khojaly has not objectively estimated in an international arena. He sounded confessions related in Khojaly tragedy by Zori Balayan, participant of Karabakh events Armenian poet-playwright, in his “Soul revival” book.

Deputy Director for scientific affairs of the institute, Dr. Law prof. Bahram Zahidov, chief of Political science and political sociology department, PhD in philosophy Rena Mirzezadeh and PhD in political sciences Zaur Aliyev proposed suggestions due to write researches based on real facts on Karabakh conflict.

Finally, documentary about Khojaly was demonstrated.
