ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature hosted for “Cry of Khojaly reaches the world” event

On February 25, 2015 National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi hosted for scientific-practical conference “Cry of Khojaly reaches the world” dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.

At first, victims of tragedy were remembered for a minute of silence.

Event was opened by museum's director, academician Rafael Huseynov.

In his speech on “Khojaly tragedy in the context of global genocide” academician said that, Khojaly genocide committed by Armenians is one of the terrible crimes in the world.

Notifying about holding the commemorative events in connection with the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide each year, academician stressed that the main purpose is to inform the world community about the realities of aggression, which exposed to the Azerbaijani people for many years.

Speaking about the consequences of the Khojaly tragedy, the museum's director emphasized the need of the political and legal appreciating Khojaly genocide, committed against civilians by the world community and involving guilty persons to criminal liability.

Then board member of Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, MP Rovshan Rzayev, expressed confidence that the voice of truth of Azerbaijan will be listened, criminal acts of Armenians will turn into condemnation object at the international level and territorial integrity of our country will be restored.

At the event also presented reports of the deputy director of the museum for scientific affairs Dr. Philology, Professor Khatira Bashirli on “Armenians’ confessions about Khojaly tragedy”, Dr. History, Professor Kamil Ibrahimov on “Armenian vandalism committed in Khojaly”, junior researcher of Karabakh branch named after H.Natavan, Mehseti Ahmadova on “Khojaly tragedy - historical crime.”

Finally, it was announced appeal of employees of the Karabakh branch named H.Natavan of Azerbaijan National Museum of Literature to the world museums. The appeal reflected the challenge for the termination of aggression against Azerbaijan by Armenia, the liberation of the occupied lands, return of refugees and internally displaced persons to their native lands.

During the event were demonstrated documents proving this tragedy.
