Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On 14-16 February 2015, head department of International Relations and Comparative Studies of ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature, Dr. Philology Shafag Alibeyli, employee of the Institute of Manuscripts, PhD in philology Nazakat Mammadli and leading researcher at Institute of Oriental Studies Saadat Shikhiyeva were on a scientific trip to Gwahati University, India.

Azerbaijani scientists attended the conference “Actual wisdom and thoughts of Sufi poets - Sadi, Hafiz, Hayyam, Movlana in XX century” held at International Scientific University.

The event were listened the reports of Sh.Alibeyli on “Poetic dialectic contrast of irfan terms and Movlana poems”, Nazaket Mammadli on “The process of spiritual evolution of Salih in the works of Attar and Movlana”, Saadat Shikhiyeva on “Alifname in the history of Sufi thought and its esoteric meaning (Balkans-India ).

Exchange of views was held on the reports and proposals for cooperation with ANAS and mutual exchange of experience have been made.

Along with Azerbaijani scientists the conference was attended by scientists from Russia, Iran, Pakistan and Bangladesh as well.

During the trip the staff of ANAS visited the mausoleum-mosque Taj Mahal.
