“Legislative document bulk on the inclusive and individual education of disabled children” book presented

ANAS Institute of Human Rights presented “Legislative document bulk on the inclusive and individual education of disabled children” book on February 27.

Ceremony was attended by MPS, representatives of several bodies, scientists, researchers and mass media.

Opening the event deputy director of the institute for scientific affairs Lala Ahmadova touched upon the essence of the book and stated that, sponsored by AR Ministry of Education within the project of “Public oversight on education quality of disabled children in special schools and classes, individual training at home”, the book was published by “International Society for Disability” Association.

Presented edition will contribute for alleviating existed problems in the sphere of inclusive education, protection of rights, and integration of the disabled children to the society. Scientific editor of the book is director of the Institute of Human Rights PhD in law Ayten Mustafayeva, she noted.

Tahir Khudiev, designer of the book, chairman of “International Society for Disability” Association, executive and editor-in-chief of “World of the disabled” newspaper, stressed out that, edition underpins state policy carried out for disabled children’s inclusive education.

Chairman of Milli Majlis Social Politics committee, Dr. Politics prof. Hadi Rajabli spoke about state policy of the country aimed at disabled people and done fulfillments. Year by year this policy is intensifying and vital works done for their overall providing and welfare improvement, he said.

Notifying about the adoption of “Law on the social survey” in the country, H. Rajabli stated that, besides social order, development of this law stems out from integration of the country into the world. Law aims determining legal, economic and organizational principles of state policy directed to social survey and adjusting ties in this area. There are 530 thousand of disabled people in Azerbaijan. 63 thousand people of them are children, he noted.

Reporting in the event, chairman deputy of “International Society for Disability” Association Nazir Huseynov and others highlighted the protection of education rights of physically and mentally disabled children as a consistent part of global struggle for human rights.
