Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics held subsequent assembly of ANAS Department of Earth Sciences.

Assembly was attended by directors, deputy directors for scientific affairs and scientific secretaries of the Institutes of Geology and Geophysics, Geography andRepublican Seismological Survey Center, related scientist and professors of Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and Higher Oil School. Opening the meeting academician-secretary of the department, acad. Fakhraddin Gadirov provided information on the issues of agenda.

Assembly has scheduled following issues: creating “Commission on exploration and exploitation of oil and gas beds”, state of edition preparation concerning to 70th anniversary of ANAS, and declaring competition for Award on behalf of acad. Musa Aliyev in the sphere of Earth sciences for 2015.

Thesis topics of those who admitted to dissertation course for PhD study in the Institute of Geography in 2013 were discussed as well.
