General Director of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli ANAS, academician Teymur Karimli is on a business trip to the city of Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan and took part in a series of international events organized by TURKSOY (The International Organization of Turkic Culture) in connection with the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi under the motto "Reading Nizami”.
Teymur Karimli attended the ceremony of presentation of the art album “Nizami Ganjavi” dedicated to the 880th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi organized by TURKSOY at the Museum of the library of the first president of the modern Kazakhstan Republic Nursultan Nazarbayev - Elbasi. He took part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the work of the great poet together with the Director of the academic library Bakytzhan Temirbolat, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov and the Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Agalar Atamoglanov.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, academician Teymur Karimli emphasized the importance of considering the work of classics such as Nizami from a new prism. He noted that the poet's work, as in his time, although eight centuries have passed, influences consciousness, plays an important role in the development of national identity and self-consciousness of the Azerbaijani people.
