Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Grandiose ceremony was held in the embassy of Azerbaijan to Russian Federation on the occasion of 92nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

By the decision of ANAS, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu submitted Golden medal on behalf of Nizami Ganjavi of the Republic of Azerbaijan to active member of RAS Nobel Prize Winner Jores Alferov for his merits in world science and development of Azerbaijan-Russia ties.

Expressing his gratitude J. Alferov noted: “Today is a very happy day. On May 9, we have celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. But today, we are celebrating the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev.” Later on, scientist made speech on his friendship with several Azerbaijanis, including celebrate physician acad. Hasan Abdullayev.
