Science Development Foundation and TÜBİTAK Space held meeting on bilateral cooperation

Science Development Foundation (SDF) held meeting on bilateral cooperation with envoys of Space Technologies Research Institute of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).

In the meeting were provided information on SDF and TÜBİTAK Space, collaboration issues were scheduled. Noted that, Science Development Foundation is keen to focus on staff training in the sphere of spatial researches, so at the beginning of the year, a young scientist was sent to TÜBİTAK Space to be probated on the account of “Mobility grant” of SDF. It was decided to continue this tradition in the future. Another issue was to be agreed in the space and astronomy research with scientists from Azerbaijan and Turkey on the promotion of fundamental and applied projects.

On May 20, "AzerSpace" OJSC will hold trilateral meeting joint with Science Development Foundation and TÜBİTAK Space.

International Agreement on cooperation in science and technology will be signed between Science Development Foundation and TÜBITAK Space in recent days.

Being one of the prestigious agencies of the region, TÜBİTAK’s primary tasks are supporting basic and applied academic research and encouraging careers in science by providing incentives to young researchers, in particular to those working in natural sciences. TÜBİTAK embraces Marmara Research Center, Chukurova Modern Agricultural Technology Research Institute, Defense Industry Research and Operational Institute, Turkey Management Industrial Institute, TEKSEB and Techno Park, Fundamental Sciences Research Institute, National Electronics and Cryptology Research Institute, National Institute of Metrology, and Space Technologies Research Institute.

Today, TÜBİTAK Space with 12 different research groups, latest technological tools, modern equipment and staff of high-level scientists and engineers, successfully participates in many international research projects in Turkey and regional projects as well as projects of global studies via NATO, EUREKA and World Bank.
