Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

At the regular meeting of the ANAS Presidium, director of the Institute of Philosophy and Law, Doctor of Philosophy Ilham Mammadzadeh made a speech on “Priorities of the Azerbaijani Philosophy in the context of Modern World Philosophy”.

In the report state-of-the-art of modern world philosophy was analyzed, distinctive features of the European, American and Russian philosophies are explained, and also was noted that there are distinctions among them not only in approach to these or those problems, but also in a choice of problems of research.

The director of the institute emphasized that at the solution of problems the American analytical philosophy refers to the logical-linguistic analysis, looks for  truth only in the philosophy of logic and language.Speaking about the tasks facing the Azerbaijani philosophy, the speaker noted that only those states which build the general strategy of development, philosophy of management of society at the level of the advanced scientific requirements, progressive national and universal traditions, and also quickly achieve national progress and creatively react to innovative appeals.

Proceeding from this, President of the country Ilham Aliyev in the performances repeatedly emphasized need of the direction of material and economic resources on development of the human capital, set an important task of consecutive continuation of economic and political modernization, development of democracy for society.

Considering that in Azerbaijan since ancient times had formed the tradition of multiculturalism and tolerance, and based on the idea of President Ilham Aliyev "In the modern world there is no alternative to multiculturalism" announced at the 3rd Baku Humanitarian Forum at the institute provides a broad study of the philosophical foundations of multiculturalism and intercultural dialogue as a priority direction and implementation of a research program on the theme "Azerbaijan multiculturalism and tolerance."

It was noted that, it is necessary to organize under ANAS Department of Social Sciences the scientific seminar on the Azerbaijanism philosophy and problems of multiculturalism, to carry out at the Institute of Philosophy and Law research works on unity of Azerbaijani philosophy history and philosophy of history of AR to study philosophy as a whole and single process.

Also it was decided to resolve all issues arising during development of the research program of Institute on "Theoretical and conceptual foundations multicultural in Azerbaijanism ideology model."
