"Fractal approaches in mechanics of destruction" monograph was published by prominent Azerbaijani scientists - academician Arif Pashayev and Ahad Janahmadov.

In the monograph physical regularities of elasto-plastic deformation of blankets of materials are considered.

The destruction kinetics from positions of the theory of fractals is analysed. Connection of fractal dimension of dissipative structure of a zone of predestruction with mechanical properties and critical conditions of deformation of metals and alloys is established.

Also multifractal nature of process of microcracks merging is described.

The book is intended for engineers and technicians, as well as students and postgraduate students specializing in the field of fracture mechanics.
