Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Information Technology held meeting with Director of the Institute of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Imanov and group of representatives. The aim was to familiarize with the activities of the Institute and to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the two institutions.

First, the guests got acquainted with the activities and projects implemented at AzScienceNet scientific network, Training and Innovation Center and Center for Distance Learning, "Information Technology" publishing house, Center for Research, Center for Digital Library, as well as with the activities of Internet cafe and auditorium equipped with modern technologies.

Then, was carried out a round table with the participation of guests and staff of the institute.

Academician-secretary of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliev said that, strengthening the material-technical base of each research institution serving to innovative development of scientific and technical area and integration of science and education, and training of young staff meet with requirements of the era, are priority tasks.

Informed about the activities of the Institute, the scientist told about scientific research conducted in various areas of information technology and information society, training of highly qualified personnel in the field of IT, as well as the work done at the institute in the field of scientific cooperation.

Also director of the Institute said on the active participation of the Institute in the state programs adopted in the field of information and communication technologies.

In conclusion, he stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Institute of Information Technologies and Institute of Economics. It was noted that, participation in joint projects and exchange of experience will play an important role in a more efficient organization of further activities of both institutions.
