Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

27th International Olympiad in Informatics among students that co-organized by Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Darin" Republican Scientific-Practical Center and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was carried out in Almaty, Kazakhstan July 26 – August 2.

Students from Azerbaijan attended the Olympiad as well. National team has been chaired by senior lecturer of Baku State University, supervisor of preparatory works for commonwealth and international Olympiads in Informatics Ramin Mahmudzadeh and head of AR Ministry of Education Department of Educational statistics and quality assessment Ismayil Sadigov. Team composed of 4 students - Elgun Jabrailzade, Kamal Eyyubov, Rustam Aghayev and Sharif Afandi.

Note that,  each year International Olympiad in Informatics is held since 1989 in various countries. Azerbaijan students attend Olympiad in Informatics since 1994. In 2009, was decided to hold in Azerbaijan.

Next Olympiad will be take place in Russian Federation in 2016 for the first time.
