The book by head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev "Nagorno Karabakh: history, read the original sources", dedicated to the historical roots of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, published in Ankara in the Turkish language.

The book, published by the print house of Berikan in Turkey reflects a variety of historical sources, telling about the causes of the conflict, as well as clear evidence of belonging of Nagorno Karabakh to the Azerbaijani states, existing in the area.

The book covered the historical period since the establishment of the first government bodies in the South Caucasus, told about the modern period of history of the region. In the first chapters the author of scientific work proves the fact of the Armenian ethnos (hai) in Asia Minor, and then to the South Caucasus.

In the book based on many sources of ancient and medieval period, as well as new and modern documents which show a true story of the South Caucasus, was noted that the Armenian people came to this area in the early XIX century. System transition from one period to another, the author tells us about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, brings to attention that throughout the history of this region Armenians were not there. It is noted that the changes in the demographic situation began to occur in the first half of the XIX century. As a result, in some districts of Western Azerbaijan - the current Republic of Armenia - Armenians began to constitute the majority. It is reported that the historic environment has allowed the Armenians to establish their own state in the ancestral lands of Azerbaijanis. Extortion for two centuries autochthonous Azeri population, Armenians drove them from the area and did everything possible to create a mono-ethnic country.

The author also draws attention to the changes in the demographic situation as a result of the resettlement of Armenians in the territory of Azerbaijan, which began in the first half of the XIX century. In addition, he brought to the attention that the predominance of Armenians in that period in Nagorno-Karabakh and other districts of Azerbaijan, as well as on the historical territory of Azerbaijan - the current Republic of Armenia - is a result of imperial policies.

The book also describes the policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan, an explanation of historical conditions of the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh. Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev also draws attention to participation in the events of the international Armenian terrorist organizations in the transition of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Certain heads of publications devoted to the legal basis of the conflict, it is shown that in addition to the destructive position of Armenia in the talks held within the OSCE Minsk Group, the double standards that appear in the big countries co-chairing the group are the cause of the futility of negotiating process.

The publication in Turkish of fundamental scientific work on Nagorno-Karabakh is a historic land of Azerbaijan, is of particular importance in terms of expanding readership. Along with the fact that the work will play an important role in terms of raising awareness about the realities of Turkish readers Karabakh, the book will be a valuable scientific resource for researchers and students.
