ANAS Institute of Information Technology published express information "Bibliometrics: current state, problems and prospects of development". The authors of the new edition is Academician-secretary of ANAS, Director of Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev and sector chief of the Institute, PhD in engineering Nigar Ismayilova, scientific editor is Head of Department of the Institute, Doctor of Technical Science Ramiz Aliguliyev.

In the express -information published by the publishing house "Information Technology" are investigated the emergence of research, essence, the scientific and theoretical basis of the problems and prospects of development of bibliometrics. The methods of measuring research, existing indicators and technology cartography of science are described. Clarification of application prospects in various fields of bibliometrics, scientific misconduct as a result of misuse of the indicators and ways of preventing in such cases are explained.
