Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

General Director of the Azerbaijan National Oncology Centre, Academician Jamil Aliyev was awarded the rank of active member of the Turkic World Studies International Academy of Sciences and the International Gold Medal "Serving to the Turkic world”.

On this occasion, National Cancer Center held ceremony on November 10 .

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Turkic World Studies International Academy of Sciences, Professor Hayrettin Ivgin noted that the choice and the decision is not accidental. It was noted that, Jamil Aliyev is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and the European Academy of Natural Sciences, an honorary professor at England’s Hammersmith Royal Academy and U.S MD Anderson Cancer Center.

"We are proud to declare that, in fact, Academician Jamil Aliyev, occupies a leading position among the most outstanding personalities, presented by us for obtaining the high award. Jamil Aliyev is one of the fruitful and scientific figures in Azerbaijan. We know that a respected academician until today performed thousands of surgical operations to save the lives of hundreds of people".

During scientific-pedagogical activity of the scientist have been prepared 8 doctors of sciences, and 38 PhD in medicine.

Then the award of the Turkic World Studies International Academy of Sciences was given to Academician Jamil Aliyev.

It should be noted that the aforementioned venture is an international scientific organization, created to study and dissemination of the languages, culture, history and literature of Turkic peoples.

From the first day of creation to the present time the Academy has established relationships with prestigious universities, research institutes, academies, research centers, foundations and other structures more than 30 countries.

Official representatives of the Academy are available in the U.S., England, Germany, Belgium, Romania, Iran, Russia, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Macedonia, Kosovo, Greece, China, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Holland, France and Italy. Promotion of well-known leaders, scientists, writers, politicians and economists of the Turkic world is one of the most important tasks of the Academy.
