Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Everyone knows that the ongoing reforms in the field of science - the most complicated process. On the day of the 70th Academy anniversary, we can proudly claim that joining forces, we have managed to save valuable asset of Azerbaijan. Currently, the innermost center of science continues to exist and develop.

This was a speech of ANAS President, Academician Akif Alizadeh at the 70th anniversary of Academy. According to the scientist, now one of the important directions of reforms in the Academy is the integration of science and education. Staying true to tradition, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences attaches great importance to the integration of science and education.

Currently, there are dozens of department branches of various universities at ANAS institutes. Numerous members of the Academy, and hundreds of scientists are directly involved in the educational process. A.Alizadeh noted that, for the first time in the history of the Academy by the support of President of AR Ilham Aliyev the master studies was established and  admission of magistrates on nine specialties was held. The head of ANAS noted that, the close cooperation between our institutions with higher education institutions are the strategic line of academic activities and expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his assistance and support in this direction. The scientist also touched on the issue of valuable scientific papers and books, realized by the collective of the Academy on the occasion of the 70th anniversary. He estimated the edition of these works by some kind of result the Academy's activities in relevant stages of history. He noted that, the book-album "Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in faces" covers the activities of persons who, during the 70th years of their work multiplied scientific achievements of the republic. "This is our history. Precisely this history lead us into the future and back into the past. Therefore this story, which attracts our attention also will interest our future generations".

In conclusion Academician Alizadeh on behalf of the scientific community of Azerbaijan once again expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care to the development of science.
