Monograph "Biogeochemical features of the modern landscape of the Absheron Peninsula" co-authored by scientific editorship of director of the Institute of Geography, Academician Ramiz Mammadov and authored by theDeputy Director for Science of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Elbrus Alizadeh, PhD in geography Galib Rustamov and Elina Kerimova has been dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Institute of Geography.

The work on the basis of the latest materials is interpreted by modern landscapes of Absheron peninsula and environmental geographic condition. Guided composed of large-scale digital “Landscape map” presented features of the propagation of macro and micro chemical elements in unpolluted and polluted landscapes of Absheron peninsula by oil.

The monograph is intended for landscape studiers, geographers, environmentalists, university teachers, bachelors and masters, as well as a wider audience interested in the environment, and government agencies involved in spatial planning.

It should be noted that the new edition was prepared on the basis of the results of research and grant project "Science Foundation" SOCAR.
